Upon entering Captain Mey's Inn, one experiences a warm and welcoming atmosphere that the Dutch call gezellig. As a family business, we take pride in our attention to detail.

Take your time as you admire the inn's European heritage. Persian rugs run along mahogany tabletops, and Irish china sits atop an antique hutch. Authentic collectables appear in each room of the house. Marvel at the chestnut oak Eastlake paneling and leaded glass bay window in the dining room. Enjoy a cup of hot tea or a glass of wine before the fully restored fireplace with its intricately carved mantel. Victorian décor accents each individual guest room.

All standard rooms have queen beds and private baths. Also enjoy our luxury suites with romantic whirlpool tubs for two.

We serve a continental breakfast each morning, which includes muffins, bagels, breads, eggs, fruits, hot/cold cereal, coffee, tea and juices. A standup cooler provides hot and cold water throughout the day. The Keurig machine serves fresh coffee, tea, cider or hot chocolate at any time.

The wrap-around porch, furnished with white wicker furniture, hanging ferns and Victorian wind curtains, adds a romantic touch. You'll find it the perfect setting for a leisurely breakfast or refreshing glass of iced tea after a day on the beach.

We want you to enjoy every moment of your time in Cape May. After checkout, we welcome guests to stay and enjoy our porch, plus use the full downstairs bathroom, outdoor shower, beach chairs and towels. When we are filled to capacity, we will direct you to nearby free parking.
